Yokosuka City is located at the base of the Miura Peninsula in the southeastern part of Kanagawa Prefecture, and is adjacent to Futtsu City, Chiba Prefecture, across Tokyo Bay.
It is an area rich in nature, sandwiched between Yokohama City and Zushi City to the north, Miura City and Hayama Town in Miura County to the south, and Tokyo Bay and Sagami Bay to the east and west.
